Configure tool groups and mode using environment variables: API_TOKEN, PRO_MODE, GROUPS, and TOOLS. Works with any MCP-compatible client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.).
Bright Data MCP connects LLMs to the live web via a structured MCP interface, using Bright Data's enterprise-grade unblocking infrastructure so AI never gets blocked, rate-limited, or served CAPTCHAs. It provides 60+ pre-built tools across many domains.
Your account gets 5,000 credits per month (~$7.50 value), auto-renewed on the 1st with no credit card required. Base tools cost 1 credit per request; web data tools cost 1 credit per record returned. Unused credits don't roll over. Pro mode is not included in the free tier.
To run locally, you need Node.js and npm. Alternatively, use the hosted server with just an MCP-compatible client — no local installation needed.
Set `PRO_MODE=true` to enable all tools. Use `GROUPS` (e.g., `ecommerce,browser,code`) to enable curated bundles, or `TOOLS` for individual tools. Default Rapid mode includes base tools only.
Data comes from Bright Data's web data platform. The server uses enterprise-grade unblocking infrastructure to bypass anti-bot protection and geo-restrictions automatically, so you never get blocked or rate-limited.
